Police Academy 6 + unouomedude = Icarus

You really have to thank the internet for it’s boundless possibilities, creating unlimited opportunities for collaboration. It’s one of the things I hold sincere appreciation for. It seems that another great duo has combined synth prowess and pop architecture to give the community something powerful to enjoy.

Unouomedude has been a forerunner in bumping summer pop jams, and Police Academy 6 came on the scene with some strong and unique synth jams. The two of them together is even more unique then the both of them individually, and it’s hard to pinpoint it, but it’s got a dark driving nuance to it, while maintaining a light bounce about it. I dig it, and have heard that some more collaborations involving Uno and the likes is in the works.

Unouomedude :: Marsh is complete

Super excited for this. Assuredly some of the best jams forthcoming. Make sure to grab this on Friday.

unouomedude:

My EP, Marsh, will be released this Friday, July 23rd on AMDISCS. Marsh is essentially a summer pop record. I’ve always enjoyed summer songs and I wanted to create an EP that captures a few different types of sun-drenched pop. All of the songs on Marsh were inspired by dreams, memories, and places. I feel like I’ve created what I wanted to create with Marsh and I’m ready start working on some other things. I hope you guys enjoy this EP and let it aid you in making the types of memories that inspired me to write this record.

I love you
-Uno

unouomedude = Buildings

So Uno posted a little collection of his old stuff earlier this week, and of course I downloaded it. And listening to it at work, I was amazed at the evolution an artist can experience. It’s not that the songs were bad; actually the contrary, the beats and music for the songs are a definite stand out even in the early days. However, as far as putting it all together, the chill beats, and synthy waves, mixed with strong but airy vocals Uno has since nailed it. I love listening to artists older stuff, it’s like you get to watch grow up in front of your very…ears.

This old collection is definitely worth a listen, if nothing else than as a portrait of someone who is becoming and I’m sure will continue to become a forerunner in blissed out jams.

Look our for his EP “Marsh” which will feature “Buildings” from above and others when it’s released in July on AMDISCS.

I’m obviously not the only one who received this jreamjam in my inbox this weeks end. But man, it really is too good not to share. The guy’s got some serious talent and I’ve loved everything I’ve heard so far, perfect chillwave vibes for the recent LA weather as of late. And I was just talking to a friend about how weird the Florida music scene is sometimes. But, this proves if you are patient the gold will rise to the top.

Check out his other jams at his soundcloud, and don’t miss out on his photography/music tumblr!
