I’ve been sitting on this mix for a little while now. It all came together quite nicely, and I’ve been letting it settle in my musical stomach. And it seems the time has come to let everyone help me digest it.
Now a few things you must know about this mix; it’s filled with some serious summer tunes I’ve had on constant rotation for some time now, most significantly during my time home for my little brother’s high school graduation, where my entire family was home for the first time in almost two years. So I thought it appropriate to name it likewise. Second of ly, the mixtape you’re about to download is my first go at a “continuous” mix. I even experimented with a bit of sampling and transitions. Pretty novice stuff, but none the less a step in the right direction.

It seems like there is a new mindblowing track coming out at every turn these days. It just so happens a lot of them are aiding in the inevitable change of season quickly approaching. And with the weather getting increasingly warmer, the shirts cut lower, the shorts shorter, the shoes sandier, and so on, I felt compelled to put together this mix of tracks that I’ve been letting take hold of me.

I’ve been enlightened only a handful of times in my life, but rarely is there such clear evidence to prove as much.
Here is the second installment of a series entitled smokeDONTsmoke. My very own brainchild that could only come to fruition with the help of my lovely sister, and her mad drawing skillz. It’s tough to follow up the first installment, Le Tigre, but bygolly I think we’ve done it.
