Mutual Benefit = Desert Island Feeling

Mutual Benefit has upped the ante on this one, bringing a fuller sound to his subtle and unassuming music. He has a grace and intuition with his music that swells as you listen. I’m really excited to hear more from Jordan. Look out for the coming cassette on Kassette Klub.

You may remember the rainy day-ready “Here” that Mutual Benefit released a few months ago (if not, be sure to download it below). In any case, Jordan’s back with the first cut from his upcoming tape release, coming soon on Kassette Club. He posted it yesterday on his Tumblr, so after you check out “Desert Island Feeling,” be sure to follow him. And if you want more after listening to “Here,” the entire Drifting EP is available for free here.

Today I’m a time traveler, traveling backward in time. Started with the magic of the 80’s top hits via Cindi Lauper Pandora station, and arrived at work to find, download, and listen to this perfect mix by Jordan over at Kassette Klub.
Go ahead and give this a download (by clicking the picture) and give Jordan a follow both at Kassette Klub and Mutual Benefit. Some of the most reliable blogging out there.

Burywood - things which give us pause

kassetteklub:

Another track off of our newest release, There Exists An Abstraction Ladder.  With swirling keyboards and uplifiting guitar.  This song willl definitely get you ready for better days.  It also rates very high on the headbangability index.

Mutual Benefit = Nite Bike

Super nice and obviously talented guy, Jordan, from musicalmachine (tumblr) and the bergiouning kassette klub sent me an email yesterday saying “what up” and notifying me of the gem above.

Mutual Benefit is an Austin based “bedroom musician” that just put this EP out on his bandcamp. It’s four songs that are so warm and somehow endearing that you could’ve sworn you wrote them yourself.

P.S. And definitely check out the awesome things going on at kassette klub. They’ve dropped several “episodes”/mixtapes which a packed full of new unheard of music that will never let you down.

P.S.S. And peep the cover art artist Betty (and she has a tumblr)
