Gem Club - Animals

This video kills it as far as capturing the haunting sounds of Gem Club. There is a dissonance to their music, an ominous beauty that if not waded, will drown you.

It just so happens their EP “Acid and Everything” dropped today! Go pick it up at their bandcamp for a meager $6 or $7 for the Compact Disc.

Gem Club = Acid and Everything
Christopher and Kristen, who make up Gem Club, sent me their EP “Acid and Everything” a couple weeks ago, and I’ve been loving it ever since. I wish it hadn’t taken me this long to get around to posting about it.
The Massachusetts based duo is releasing their EP July 6th. They make some simply beautiful “piano and cello bedroom-pop”. At times it’s reminiscent of Gary Jules’ version of “Mad World”, but it’s always dreamy and soft on the conscience. Cop the title track above, and be on the lookout for their release.
