I’m so proud to announce this show. It’s the first Smoke Don’t Smoke Presents show ever! And what a great team of people, blogs and artist alike to be working with! This space is really awesome, it used to be a brothel! So things are gonna get pretty awesome and weird in there, but it’s a promising time! And how could it not be with all these great people. Oh and did I mention, it’s Mickey Mickey Rourke’s FIRST EVER SHOW!!?

Let’s Get Together__
I’ve been sitting on this mix for a little while now. It all came together quite nicely, and I’ve been letting it settle in my musical stomach. And it seems the time has come to let everyone help me digest it.
Now a few things you must know about this mix; it’s filled with some serious summer tunes I’ve had on constant rotation for some time now, most significantly during my time home for my little brother’s high school graduation, where my entire family was home for the first time in almost two years. So I thought it appropriate to name it likewise. Second of ly, the mixtape you’re about to download is my first go at a “continuous” mix. I even experimented with a bit of sampling and transitions. Pretty novice stuff, but none the less a step in the right direction.

Man another great video here. This one from the band Candy Claws hailing Ft. Collins. I grew up in CO, and it seems that now that I’ve been gone some pretty great stuff has been showing up (i.e. Gauntlet Hair, Ambassador Engine). This song is so captivating, with it’s almost whispering dream vocals and steadily intensifying rhythm. They are currently on Indiecator Records and have available their full-length “In The Dream Of The Sea Life” for sale there as well as all over. It’s a dream machine. Keep it comin’ Colorado.
