Gathered Ghosts - Went To You (feat. Andreanna)
On Saturday, January 14th, Gathered Ghosts released their first EP, Fluttering So Sweetly. From great projects, great projects are born. Javier A. Suarez plays guitar for longtime favorite Craft Spells, and started making his own sounds early last year as Gathered Ghosts. This EP is soft and swoony, with infections guitar, yearning vocals from both Suarez and guest vocalist Andreanna Wilson.

Love the quirky, mild psychosis of this video. The recent Seattle transplants are about to go on European tour, and you can check the dates here. Not totally sure, but hopefully this new tune is a sign of a full-length to come.

Craft Spells just released a digital single called Party Talk. Justin is a really talented guy, and has a knack for producing nearly perfectly constructed pop hits. Honestly I nearly reached nirvana once while cruising up and down the PCH while listening to everything Craft Spells I’ve been able to get my hands on.

I’ve been sitting on this mix for a little while now. It all came together quite nicely, and I’ve been letting it settle in my musical stomach. And it seems the time has come to let everyone help me digest it.
Now a few things you must know about this mix; it’s filled with some serious summer tunes I’ve had on constant rotation for some time now, most significantly during my time home for my little brother’s high school graduation, where my entire family was home for the first time in almost two years. So I thought it appropriate to name it likewise. Second of ly, the mixtape you’re about to download is my first go at a “continuous” mix. I even experimented with a bit of sampling and transitions. Pretty novice stuff, but none the less a step in the right direction.
