I am overly excited to help announce the first ever PORTALS SXSW Showcase! That’s right, the crew is headed to Austin next month to be a part of the action and help throw a killer party! It comes equipped with BBQ, drinks, more music than you could possibly want, some super nerdy bloggers, transportation via the PORTALSbus! and some amazing sponsors. Ex.fm and The Basic Fund have been kind enough to throw down and help us get this thing going, and we couldn’t be more thankful.

Corduroi - Emerald Rain
Corduroi has done what you hope all musicians and artists do with time; evolve. Emerald Rain is the first listen at his upcoming EP Future Adventures, out Valentine’s Day on Mush Records. These sounds are new and unique, like nothing we’ve heard from Corduroi before. Partly because this track, along with at least one other on the upcoming EP, was co-produced by recently transplanted Austin producer Galapagos.

Whoa this video is amazing. I just posted Corduroi last week, and couldn’t help but post this follow up. The video was done by Austin based video producers Color Chart.

Can’t stop listening to the this Austin, TX based project Cody Wilson calls Corduroi. His mellow beats, and buttery synths make this an instant favorite as the weather starts to heat up. He’s dropping tracks frequently on Soundcloud, and the whole Anything For Now EP is up on his bandcamp for FREE.
