Atlantic at Pacific = Weddings

Not sure why it took me this long to catch on to Atlantic At Pacific? I guess sometimes projects just slip through the cracks.

Austin Wood is the man behind AatP and some might say he’s got too many fires in the oven, but as far as I’m concerned being involved in too many projects is rarely a bad thing. He’s been an active part of Blackbird Blackbird’s live performances in the past, half of BBBB’s side project Lemonade Dance Party, and the man behind Radio!, and who knows what else. But it seems like things have finally “caught” with this new project. Advertised as chillwave, as per Washed Out, Eno, and others, you can’t really deny it. But in a larger scope of his projects, I think we can expect a lot more out of Wood in future endevors. His style is his own, and you can hear it in the sublties of his music.

Weddings is his debut full-length coming out August 24th on Alchemist Records. It’s aural, bouncing and at times dark. Be sure to pick it up digitally, on CD, and even on limited edition CD.
