On Tuesday I got a chance to make it out to LA’s Echo/Echoplex where the Woodsist Fest was happening. Such a great lineup of Woodsist bands. But the standout for me was Woods with it’s fuzzy psych jams. I picked up their most recent record “At Echo Lake” on vinyl, and it sounds creamy. Also it’s just nice to see such a great collection of artists on a single label like Woodsist. Their definitely doing something right.
Note: Apparently because of our resemblance, and the fact we were wearing the same thing, I was given a “nice show man” while I was watching Kurt Vile, instead of the lead singer of Woods. But don’t worry, I was sure to pass it on.
