Bethany Dinsick - Bad Lil Boy

Man this music really is something so unique and beautiful. Seriously diggin’ it.

There is music that is just fun and light-hearted that just puts you at ease and really doesn’t ask all that much of you. On the other extreme there is music that is intense and active asking you to meet it at it’s point of anger, loudness, passion, or what have you. Then there is music like this that is somehow in lyric and in sound so genuinely thoughtful and honest that it both puts you at ease and asks you to think. You have to love and respect an artist with that kind of skill.

Thanks to the always reliable Jimmy for this.

Bethany Dinsick - Bad Lil Boy

I’m not sure why or how I haven’t heard of this pretty lady of Baltimore till today. If someone tried to tell me about her I’m sorry I didn’t listen.

Her lastest album Bottle Tree CD uses instruments such as sound recordings of herself getting an MRI, a vibrator, a childrens’ spring microphone, a Lion King audio storybook, a baby’s white noise machine, flower vases, rainsticks, wine glasses, beer bottles and etc.

If you can record your brain getting scanned and then incorporate it into your album, that is an A+ winner in my book.
