Yellow Ostrich = I Think U Are Great

You only have to get a song or two deep before your realize that Alex Schaaf is insanely talented. He posted this image above on his Facebook earlier this week with promise of a new album. But I don’t think anything could’ve prepared us for the monumental release of his most treasured album The Mistress. As Yellow Ostrich, Alex Schaaf masterfully wields harmonies and orchestrative tendencies that seem totally beyond his years.

The Mistress is out today and can be purchased/downloaded over at his bandcamp. After you stop there and pick up the album, your second stop should be Kickstarter. Due to the burgeoning DIY market, Alex has started a project on Kickstarter, that if completed, will end in some beautiful vinyl being pressed of The Mistress.
