Fiveng = Easy
I was listening to this last night, and just soaking in the bouncing melodies of Fiveng. I had heard wind of these videos, and am so excited to see their release today. Also commendable, is the fashion and class in which Beachtapes released this gem. This release is a perfect example of how I think all releases should go.
An artist (Fiveng) hooks up with a legitimate DIY label (Beachtapes) to release some really good music. An amazing appreciator/artist (Jheri from GOTC) does the album art for the release. Possibly the most prestigious found footage video producer (Jamie Harley) whips up not one, but TWO grade-A videos for the release. And it is topped off by being premiered on one of the most mature, consistent, and forerunning blogs out there (yvynyl). Try and find something wrong with this story.
PREMIERE: Fiveng - Easy
Another day, another amazing Jamie Harley music video, and I’m proud to bring this one to you first. Wouldn’t you know it, Jamie wasn’t satified making just one video for this song - he made TWO! The Longest version (above), features gorgeous official 1972 Olympic Games footage distance runners, while the other version, The Strongest, features the weight lifters.
San Francisco-based Nicholas Ng, the man behind Fiveng has been churning out quality singles for a couple months now. Really diggin’ his easy-going melodies and glowing beats. This current set o’ songs is being put out digitally on Beachtapes with sweet Jheri Evans-designed collage cover art. Go get it!
