NEW FINDS, i.e. Freelance Whales
Just read a great review of the new, self-released, album by Freelance Whales called Weathervanes at Pretty Much Amazing. It’s an awesome review, and pretty accurate I think. These guys are reminescent of most things good about the last 5 or 6 years of music. It’s hard to pin them, but it’s easy to enjoy them. Here’s some tracks:

Florence + the Machine - You've Got the Love (XX...
I was going to post the video for this song, but then I watched it and realized it was super lame.
But the song I’ve been listening to all week and it’s great::
Florence + the Machine - You’ve Got the Love (XX Remix)
The rest of her album “Lungs” has been a favorite for months. Please buy it.

I may be a bit late on this one, but Kristian Matsson, aka The Tallest Man on Earth is worth a listen.

Grizzly Bear :: To Unmanaging Fame
In terms of outrageously talented people, who sometimes come together to make up a band, Grizzly Bear is certainly a forerunner. Their music is interesting, it’s full, it’s heavy, it’s experimental, it’s contrasting, and now, it’s popular. I got to see them just Tuesday night (20th) at the Hollywood Palladium. The venue was big and the people just poured in. By the...

Patrick Watson :: October 17th, The Largo
We paid our twenty dollars, were told where the drinks and the bathrooms were, and walked in. The old world, Hollywood feel of the Largo is priceless and you feel a bit transported upon arrival. We were there to see Patrick Watson. And we did, within minutes of stepping inside the courtyard of the Largo, we see him in his classic hat, you know the one with the bill flipped up, running around,...

I wish it wasn't...
But the New Moon Soundtrack has an amazing lineup of artists, with new and original songs. I’m pretty excited about it; wish I could say the same about the vampy cinema it accompanies.
Here’s the lineup:
1. Death Cab For Cutie – Meet Me On The Equinox 2. Band Of Skulls – Friends 3. Thom Yorke- Hering Damage 4. Lykke Li – Possibility 5. The Killers - A White Demon Love Song 6. Anya...

St. Vincent +plus+ Andrew Bird
Performing together in a secret session directed by Chryde and Benoit Toulemonde of La Blogotheque. Both of them play together beginning about halfway through the video. But the whole thing is brilliant. They both warrant both love and awe of creation.

Sina makes it beautiful
I found this guy on the list of illustrators for Daytrotter. His name is Sina Sohrab, and his stuff more than the other amazing artists found there stuck out to me. I don’t know, it seems to be the work of someone old and wise and cultured, yet he is so young. Anyways, check him out here.
His stills are unreal.
