About

My name is Tim, and I live in Los Angeles. I was fortunate enough to fall into this awesome community of artists and bloggers alike that have done nothing but astound me with not only their creativity, but their great attitudes and friendliness.

This blog is here to perpetuate those attitudes as well. Always feel free to send stuff my way, or just drop a friendly “hello”.

And know that all music posted is for previewing purposes only. Make sure you’re doing the right thing and helping these awesome artists out by purchasing music, making it to their shows, housing them when they come through your city, and all that good stuff!

Sharing is caring,

Tim

Why Smoke Don’t Smoke?

I had recently bought a book No Smoking that is basically like a giant picture book on the history of smoking cigarettes. But, it presents a really interesting idea that I kind of latched onto. It talks about how when smoking was introduced it was something encouraged by all. Doctors smoked in the examination room, people smoked in the back of airplanes, or in between courses of a meal. From all directions smoking was something praised and pushed on the public. Then in almost the next instant smoking was waged war upon.

It’s hard to live in a world where we are so pushed in different, and often, opposite directions. What should we eat? What should we watch? What should we listen to? What should we read? What religion should we believe? Because you never know what scientific evidence might be found tomorrow that will make the turn. The turn that will wage war on what we were just so encouraged to partake in.

It’s dichotomy at it’s best. It’s humanity. It’s you. It’s me. So smoke, or don’t smoke; just know what you’re doing and why you’re doing it.
